WHAT: Eat Pastry makes incredibly tasty and convenient ready-made VEGAN cookie dough! Mmmm. With a wide range of flavors (and 3 gluten-free options): Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip, Gluten-Free Snickerdoodle, Gluten-Free Sugar Momma, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Chocoholic Chip (that’s double chocolate), and Oatmeal Raisin Chocolate Chip – there’s something for everyone!
WHY: These vegan cookie doughs are free of egg, dairy, preservatives, fillers, and non-GMO; and there are 3 flavors that are also gluten-free. Eat Pastry cookie dough contains Organic and Fair Trade Sugar (Evaporated Cane Juice) and Peanut Butter made right in Eat Pastry’s kitchen. This healthy cookie dough is a great option to have on hand for when you want to fresh baked cookies without the mess of bowls, spoons, spatulas, whisks… etc! (Not to mention the time and having all the ingredients on hand.)
THE VERDICT: I love the gluten-free chocolate chip cookie dough – it’s so good I don’t see a reason I would buy the non gluten-free option (well unless of course they were sold out, haha). These cookies have the perfect amount of sweetness that it feels like a treat, but without too much that you end up with bellyache and crashing blood sugar levels.
The dough is soft and fluffy (yep we had a bite) so they’re easy to scoop out of the tub; and the easy-to-baked cookies have a soft chewy texture (even when they’re not straight out of the oven)… the real challenge is if you can get them in the oven before eating all the dough!
