WHAT: Fresh from Canada comes Holy Crap, a line of DELICIOUS breakfast cereals made from organic chia seed, organic hulled hemp hearts, organic buckwheat, organic cranberries, organic raisins, organic apple bits and organic cinnamon.
WHY: Holy Crap makes 3 incredible flavors… the original Holy Crap (with all 7 ingredients), Holy Crap + Oats, and Skinny B – which doesn’t contain the dried raisins, dried cranberries, or organic apple bits. I personally prefer to skip dried fruit when possible (dried fruit usually contains a lot of added sugar). This organic, non-GMO, naturally vegan cereal is high in complete protein and fiber and provides the perfect ratio of omega-3 and omega-6 to give you energy and fuel your brain all day long. Holy Crap is also free of lactose, salt, wheat, and nuts. High in plant-based protein and fiber… helping to reduce cholesterol, stabilize blood sugar (no spike and crash aftermath with Holy Crap!), and even helping with weight loss (fiber makes you full so you eat less).
THE VERDICT: I have been a longtime lover of Holy Crap cereals. And I love that they make the Skinny B option without the dried fruit. My favorite way to enjoy Holy Crap is to sprinkle a little bit on top of my morning smoothie or oatmeal for an extra crunch (and extra fiber to fill you up). The great list of clean organic ingredients, yummy crunchy taste, and easy of making (no cooking required – just let it soak in milk/water/yogurt for about 5 minutes before eating) makes this a go-to breakfast of choice.
Or you can always go for a healthy sweet treat and make these healthy cookies. Mmmm 🙂
