WHY: Health Warrior’s Chia Bar is a perfect size snack bar to hold you over between meals, for pre-workout fuel, or to have when you’re traveling. The organic, vegan, soy-free, non-GMO chia seeds (if you’re new to chia, munch slowly, they’re a little slimy but after you’ve experienced chia seeds once you will probably never be bothered by that again… or keep reading how good they are for you and you will get over the sliminess!) are known for their ability to increase energy and stamina over long periods of time (they were a staple in ancient Aztecs and Mayan diets). One ounce of chia has more omega-3 healthy fats than salmon; more fiber than oatmeal; and contain no gluten or grains. Since they are high in fiber, they leave you satiated and lower food cravings between meals.
THE VERDICT: This chewy chia seed bar has incredible flavor and the perfect amount of sweetness. It’s pretty small, which I like because I prefer bars to be a snack not a meal replacement. I love chia seeds for their incredible health benefits, energy boost, and easily digestible nutrients.
