brain-food

We know that food is our body’s fuel, so it’s important to recognize the foods that help us and those that can harm us. Studies have found that you can protect your brain from aging, memory loss, learning disabilities (and belly fat, too!) by avoiding large amounts fructose.

Most common sources of high fructose:

  • sports drinks
  • agave syrup (check the label!)
  • fruit juice drinks
  • soda

*** Avoid products that list fructose, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice concentrate or corn syrup solids among the first five ingredients on the label.

1. Berries

2. Avocado

3. Dark chocolate (look for ones made with at least 70% cacao)

5. Chia seeds
