I’m sure many of you are already familiar with a few of the health-impairing food products lurking in the grocery store isles. Here’s a few of the top offender we try to avoid. For the full list check out Mind Body Green.
2. GMO foods
A 2012 study out of France confirmed the dangers of genetically modified food consumption – increase in mammary tumors, kidney failture and liver necrosis. Choose organic produce to ensure that you are not eating genetically modified foods.
Sugar weakens our immune system, causes inflammation, and spikes our insulin levels. It’s also highly addictive. We will admit this one is nearly impossible to avoid completely, try the healthier options such as stevia or coconut sugar.
4. High Fructose Corn Syrup – remember how harmful it is!
